WHAT IS MICRONEEDLING?

At Skin Laser & Med Spa, our goal is to provide the best treatment for you that can help treat your condition in the most efficient and cost effective way. Microneedling may be the correct treatment for you if you are currently suffering from acne scaring, hair loss, dark spots, sun damaged patches in the skin, large pores, reduced skin elasticity, scars, stretch marks, fine lines & wrinkles.

When you get microneedling from Skin Laser & Medspa, we are essentially using your own body's natural healing response to help provide a much smoother and healthier skin throughout your body. Depending on how large the overall treatment area is, you would be able to see a steady progress towards your optimal look and feel throughout the treatments.

When the pen travels in a cross hatching pattern over the treatment area, the needles make very small punctures in your skin. We will then apply a healing cream/serum on your treatment area. This boosts your body's collagen and elastin production which helps smoothen you skin concerns, and provide a younger look. 

HOW LONG DOES THE PROCEDURE TAKE?

For microneedling, one session typically takes 20 minutes to 1hr, depending on the size of the overall treatment area. Most people need 4 to 6 treatments to help achieve optimal results. *Note that the patient must arrive 1 hour before the treatment to have a topical numbing cream applied.

WHAT AREAS DOES MICRONEEDLING TREAT?

Microneedling is most commonly done on the face, however it can be done most parts of your body. We often recommend microneedling on your stomach, thighs, arms, or chest/neck areas depending on where your skin needs our help the most!
